Provocations are experiences set-up in response to children’s interests and ideas. Teachers intentionally set up a provocation with the goal to provide children with hands on exploration creating opportunities for children to practice, test, construct, and deconstruct their ideas and hypotheses. This type of experiences will provoke thinking and allow for children to further increase their understanding or knowledge of the world around them.
